STUDENTS, PARENTS AND EDUCATORS ARE INVITED TO A DISCUSSION ON AB 540 AND THE DREAM ACT: UNDOCUMMENTED STUDENTS ACCESS TO PUBLIC HIGHER EDUCATION

WHAT: Community Education Forum: Access to Equal Education

Students, parents and teachers are invited to learn about the college admissions process for undocumented students, and AB540, a state law that allows undocumented students to pay in-state tuition at California universities and colleges.

WHEN: 6:00 – 9:00 p.m., June 3, 2008.

WHO: A coalition of community-based and advocacy organizations along with community leaders have come together to educate and empower our diverse immigrant community about AB 540 and the Dream Act. Organizations include: ACLU of Southern California, Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles (LAFLA), Los Amigos, National Korean American Service and Education Consortium (NAKASEC), Korean Resource Center (KRC), OC Dream Team, OC Korean U.S. Citizens League and the United Healthcare Workers.
