About the Korean Resource Center (KRC):
KRC was founded in 1983 to empower the Korean American community, low-income immigrant and people of color communities through a holistic model that combines education, social services, and culture with effective community advocacy and organizing. KRC is guided by the four principles: Live Rightly, Know Our Roots, Empower Ourselves, and Live in Harmony. KRC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and a founding affiliate of the National Korean American Service & Education Consortium (NAKASEC).

Position Opening: Immigrant Rights Campaign Coordinator
The Korean Resource Center (KRC) is seeking a committed individual to fill a full-time position as the Immigrant Rights Campaign Coordinator.

Position Status: Full-time
Start Date: As soon as position is filled

Major Responsibilities:
•Advocate immigrant rights issues, particularly, Legalization, Higher Education, Enforcement, and Civil Liberties on behalf of Korean American Community
•Assist with and coordinate KRC Immigrant Rights campaigns from planning to evaluation
•Educate and organize community members on issues that affects the immigrant communities
•Coordinate community members’ participation on various immigrant rights campaigns
•Assist with and develop press communications and social media
•Support major KRC project areas, such as healthcare, immigrant rights, and affordable housing, and civic engagement as well as fundraising
•Build and work with community coalitions in Los Angeles, Orange County, throughout California, and nationally to protect and advance the immigrant rights
•Work closely with a committed team of immigrant rights project, interns, and volunteers
•Assist with grant proposals and reports in a timely manner
•Submit required activity reports in a timely manner
•Note: KRC Immigrant Rights Projects are subject to change throughout the year

Qualifications:
•Commitment to immigrant rights and social justice
•Fluency in Korean and English preferred
•Strong communication skills
•Capacity to organize Korean American community members
•Previous experience organizing immigrant communities or working on immigrant rights campaigns
•Ability to work collaboratively with KRC staff and with other coalition partners
•Ability to work with various constituencies, including multiple Korean American generations (seniors, parents, youth) as well as community members from across ethnic and racial communities
•Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize among projects
•Ability to work some evenings and weekends.
