It’s Our Healthcare!, a statewide coalition for health reform, launched a 48-hour vigil in front of the Governor’s Los Angeles office beginning Wednesday, October 17.
Hundreds of Californians gathered in front of 5 of the Governor’s offices throughout the state, and KRC family members participated in the L.A. site vigil October 18 between the hours of 4-6 pm. During which, KRC staff shared personal stories of community members who were in need of health insurance regardless of “pre-existing” conditions, the importance of health reform and the desire for comprehensive universal health coverage. In addition to signing a ‘Health Reform is priceless’ “blank check,” LA participants took over 150 Polaroid pictures to attach to short messages for the Governor.
