CALL-IN SCRIPT
Call to state your support for the California Dream Act
Statewide Call-in day Tuesday September 25, 2007
PHONE SCRIPT:
Hi, my name is ________ and I am a student at ___________. I am calling to urge Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to support SB 1, the California DREAM Act. This bill would make AB 540 students eligible for non-competitive student aid programs. SB1 addresses the concerns posed by the Governor's veto message of last year. These California High School Graduates meet the academic requirements to attend college yet are unable to pay for the raising cost of student fees. I believe that an investment in these future citizens is an investment in California's economy. Students on my campus are looking forward to seeing the Governor's support for higher education. Thank you.
