According to the 2005 California Health Interview Survey, 34% of Korean Americans are uninsured in Los Angeles County, an almost 6% increase from 2003.
A Families USA study found that uninsured children admitted to hospitals with general injuries were twice as likely to die and 44% less likely to receive rehabilitative services the insured children.
Right now the legislators are talking about health care reform. Join us at the Korean Resource Center to learn and discuss how these reforms will impact our community.
