Dozens of Artists and Entertainers Participate in Large Pro Immigration Forum at LA Sports Arena on March 25, 2007
Los Angeles, CA: Under the rubric of civic optimism and community support, more than 25 artist and entertainers have agreed to participate in a large community forum to be held on March 25, 2007 a the LA Sports Arena from 10 am to 3 pm. The gathering of such diverse talent is to provide a coordinated opportunity for immigrant communities in the southland to learn more about immigration reform, the citizenship process, and voter registration. The Forum is titled “Justice For Our Families Now”.

Admission to this one-of-a-kind educational and entertainment rally is .39 per person. Each person is asked to bring a blank envelope with a .39 cent stamp that will be used to send a clear and direct message to congress that immigration reform is good for the economy, good for immigrants, and good for America. More than 10,000 letters are expected to be mailed after this event.
The Forum is scheduled exactly one year after the first massive marches took place in Los Angeles and other urban centers throughout the United States and it is intended to educate, celebrate, and mobilize immigrant communities. Four objectives underscore the coordination of this First Annual Forum: 1) a fair and humane immigration reform; 2) no increase in citizenship process fees; 3) medical insurance for all Californians; and, 4) no to raids and deportations.
