Requirements:
- Adult who has been a lawful permanent resident for more than 5 years.
- Lived in the U.S. more than 2.5 years during the past 5 years. (1.5 years in residence out of 3 years for those married to citizens)
If you fall under either of the below categories, you need to consult first with an attorney:
- stayed abroad continuously for more than 6 moths.
- registered and voted in elections
- was detained or arrested by the police or USCIS, or had a guilty ruling.
- was not able to support children after divorce.
