Ji-Shin-Balb-Gi is one of Korea’s traditional rituals, performed to the “spirits of the earth” for wishing good luck in the Lunar New Year. The ritual involves the playing of Poong-mul that unites drumming, dancing, and community celebration as one.

1. We meet at Korean Resource Center (900 Crenshaw Blvd, Los Angeles, CA, 90019) at 9am.
2. We prepare for the day’s performance and perform a ritual before we leave KRC 9:30am - 10:30am
3. We start performing at Korean American Association (981 S Western Ave #401, Los Angeles, CA, 90005) . Press comes. After performing, we walk to Western Inn.
4. Western Inn (921 S. Western ave, Los Angeles, CA, 90006). We perform from 11:30am to 12:00am. After performing, we drive to Garden Suites Hotel.
5. Garden Suites Hotel (681 S. Western ave, Los Angeles, CA, 90005). We perform from 12:30pm -1:00pm. After performing we drive to Bookchangdong Tofu House.
6. Bookchangdong Tofu House (Wilshire branch - 3575 Wilshire blvd, Los Angeles, CA, 90010). We perform from 1:30pm to 2:00pm. *eat lunch while we go from
7. City Home Garden Flower shop (737 S San Pedro St, LA CA 90014): We perform from 2:30pm to 3:00pm. After performing, we drive to Choo-Pung-Ryung.
8. Choo-Pung-Ryung (1230 S. Western Ave, LA, CA 90006) : We perform from 3:30pm to 4:00pm. After performing, we drive to Nam-San-Dang Oriental Medicine. (1230 S. Western Ave, LA, CA 90006)
9. Nam-San-Dang Oriental Medicine: We perform from 4:30pm to 5pm. (1707 W. Olympic Blvd, LA, CA 90015)
10. Kyung-Dong Oriental Medicine: We perform from 5:30pm to 6:00pm. (3400 W 6th St. LA, CA 90020)
12. We get back to the Korean Resource Center at 6pm.
