are seeking volunteers to help
with filing, interpreting, etc,
on Health Day. This is a
day of free health check-ups
for hundreds of low-income community
members, such as pap smears,
mammograms, blood tests (pressure,
diabetes, cholesterol), dental
and acupuncture tests, and much

Raids & SSA No-Match

We
have produced materials to educate
the Korean American community
of basic rights in case of a
raid or detention, as well as
the new SSA No-Match regulations.
They are available at our centers
and online on the web.

stemming from a proposed
regulation for cards with

renewed.

Arellano, who died in
a detention center for denial
of HIV medicine; KRC

office to discuss Immigration
Reform and the DREAM
Act, and delivered 50
postcards signed by district
residents.

Rep. Lucille Roybal-Allard's
office, urging the Congressional
Hispanic Caucus to consider
taking up the DREAM
Act, and delivered picture
postcards.

Study Group Inbo Sim
described the state of Korean
American society during
the first half of the 20th
century and progressive
movements for issues in
Korea and Korean Americans.

faith community and workers
joined voices on Labor
Day Mass for workers'
rights, immigration reform,
access to higher education,
health care and affordable
housing. Green Son read
a prayer for immigration
reform and her father, Jung
Son, a painter, was blessed
along with other workers.
